National Account Executive

Job Introduction

Within a successful and collaborative commercial team, as National Account Executive you will be working alongside Customer Managers and will be heavily involved with the day to day running of 2 Grocery Customers both internally and externally. 

You will work cross-functionally across other teams including category, finance, brand and supply planning with the opportunity to understand all the key touchpoints required to successfully deliver both internally and for the customers. 

Reporting into the Customer Controller this role is a great opportunity to develop the necessary skills to understand a breadth of Grocery customers and develop into a NAM position over a period of time.

Role Responsibility

Key Responsibilities

· A key player in the day-to-day customer execution across top Grocery accounts,

supporting the Controller in delivering commercial success.

· Build Strong Relationships: both externally with our retail partners and internally with

key stakeholders across various functions

· Supply Chain Collaboration: Work collaboratively to ensure forecast accuracy and

alignment, analysing data to understand stockholding and waste and to ensure

proactive communication of any issues and challenges

· Lead the end-to-end process of promotional planning: From Forecasting and

execution to evaluation to ensure best practice promotional plans are put in place and

we evaluate plans to meet the needs of the shopper, customer and internal KPI’s

· Support brand activation to ensure successful delivery of activation plans followed by

the measurement and evaluation to support future planning

· Support the Controller and NAM to develop robust commercial plans

· Cross Functional Collaboration: Influence cross-functionally to ensure your customers

have the right recipe for growth.

 

The Ideal Candidate

A commercially aware individual who is looking to take the next step in their National

Accounts career. You may have had a background in sales, demand planning, category

management or buying. 

You need to have a positive and ambitious attitude and have the

curiosity to ask the questions to understand what they need and then how to go about

delivering it. 

Highly organised and able to prioritise key deliverables within a busy workload.

Numerate and able to manage a wide range of data points and clearly bring this data to life in

ways that can be shared with the wider business.

Experience Required

· Good working knowledge of Excel

· Some FMCG experience – not necessarily in food but you will need a passion for food

Qualifications

· Hold a valid UK Driving Licence

Skills

· A pro-active solution orientated approach under pressure

· Understanding of the UK Grocery market, ideally with premium brands

· Analytical thinking with the ability to distil information and drive action.
