Sales Executive - Part time

Job Introduction

ByRuby was founded in 2018. We create handmade frozen pre-prepared meals that deliver delicious quality heartiness every time and let you win precious time back for yourself. In 2022 ByRuby was acquired by Charlie Bigham’s and in 2023 we moved our production into their kitchen. Whilst ByRuby is a separate business to Charlie Bigham’s, we work from their office in Park Royal with the support of their wider team. 

We are looking for a superstar part time sales assistant to support Milly, our Co-Founder and Katie, our sales and marketing executive in growing ByRuby within independent retail and beyond. We are on the road to revolutionising frozen food ‘premium-ising’ the category with our fresh and contemporary approach. This role will be based in Park Royal but can be based from home with minimum 1 day a week in the office. 

ByRuby is a small business with big ambition, it is vital that you are flexible, keen to learn and have a can-do attitude.

Role Responsibility

Sales Administration: 

  • Proactive contacting of existing retailers, up-selling and taking orders
  • Setting up new independent retail customers in our system
  • Loading new line forms
  • Supporting maintenance of our website
  • Customer service helping our stockists with queries and concerns
  • Maintaining relationships with our fulfilment and storage partners
  • Support at trade shows and events
  • Administrative duties, liaising with finance for invoicing

The Ideal Candidate

Essential requirements:  

  • Highly organised and efficient with Excel and Outlook 
  • Demonstrable interest in consumer brands  

Desirable: 

  • Degree level education 
  • Proven telesales experience
  • Sales experience in any sector
  • Experience of Shopify (e-Commerce)
  • Experience of working in a client focused environment. 
  • Experience with CRM software, specifically Klaviyo or similar

  • Excellent communication skills to be used both internally and externally 
  • A self-starter – motivation to work efficiently at home and to targets
  • An eye for detail 
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Excellent writing skills, you will enjoy writing and have a good turn of phrase
  • Empathy, understanding and a calm disposition in dealing with customers
