Job Introduction

ByRuby was founded in 2018. We create handmade frozen pre-prepared meals that deliver delicious quality heartiness every time and let you win precious time back for yourself. In 2022 ByRuby was acquired by Charlie Bigham’s and in 2023 we moved our production into their kitchen. Whilst ByRuby is a separate business to Charlie Bigham’s, we work from their office in Park Royal with the support of their wider team.

We are looking for a superstar marketing and sales executive to support Milly, our Co-Founder in growing ByRuby online, in independent retail and beyond. We are on the road to revolutionising frozen food ‘premium-ising’ the category with our fresh and contemporary approach. This role will be based in Park Royal and we offer hybrid working with a minimum of 3 days in the office per week.

ByRuby is a small business with big ambition, it is vital that you are flexible, keen to learn and have a can-do attitude

Role Responsibility

Sales:

  • Setting up new independent retail customers in our system
  • Loading new line forms
  • Supporting maintenance of our website
  • Replying to our wholesale customers and helping them with queries, concerns and orders
  • Maintaining relationships with our fulfilment and storage partners
  • Support at trade shows and events

Marketing:

  • Managing a marketing calendar
  • Supporting our social media agency with content approvals and ideas
  • Building relationships with brand partners
  • Writing newsletters to our captive audience
  • Content creation for social channels

The Ideal Candidate

Essential requirements: 

  • Experience of using social media - producing campaigns / monitoring a content /  tracking the performance 
  • Demonstrable interest in FMCG and food in particular 
  • Commercially literate with good Excel and Powerpoint skills  
  • Experience of working to brand guidelines 

Desirable:

  • Degree level education 
  • Proven sales/marketing skills and experience.
  • Proven work experience as a Marketing Coordinator, Marketing Officer or similar role.
  • Experience of working in or knowledge of FMCG/Food Sector
  • Experience with research methods using data analytics software.
  • Experience of Shopify  (e-Commerce)
  • Experience with Canva (or graphic design experience)
  • Experience of working in a client focused environment.
