Facilities & Hygiene Team Member

Job Introduction

At Charlie Bigham's, we believe that a clean, safe and well-presented workplace is essential to creating a great environment for our teams. As a Facilities & Hygiene Team Member, you'll help maintain high standards across our offices, welfare facilities, café, changing rooms, washrooms and other shared spaces.

Working as part of our Site Facilities team and reporting to the Facilities & Hygiene Supervisor, you'll play an important role in keeping our site clean, hygienic and ready for use every day. From cleaning facilities, offices and welfare areas to replenishing consumables, managing laundry and supporting site presentation, you'll help create an environment that our colleagues can be proud of.

This is a hands-on role where attention to detail is key. You'll carry out scheduled cleaning tasks, respond to cleaning needs throughout the day, and help maintain the high standards of hygiene, safety and presentation expected across our site. If you take pride in your work, enjoy making a visible difference and want to be part of a team that cares about quality, we'd love to hear from you.

  • Collect and manage waste from designated areas, following site waste segregation procedures and maintaining tidy waste collection points.
  • Respond promptly to spills, cleaning issues and requests, carrying out additional cleaning where required to maintain standards.
  • Complete cleaning schedules and records accurately, reporting any missed tasks, concerns or issues to the Facilities & Hygiene Supervisor.
  • Use cleaning chemicals, equipment and personal protective equipment safely, following COSHH assessments and safe systems of work.
  • Report damage, maintenance issues, leaks, pest activity, safety concerns and recurring cleanliness issues to help keep the site operating effectively.
  • Take pride in maintaining a clean, welcoming environment and support colleagues across the site by delivering excellent facilities and hygiene standards every day.
