Job Introduction
We are looking for a Talent Advisor (Development and Training Compliance) - To ensure training compliance and deliver the training and development needs for Bigham's Kitchens, leading the digital learning transformation approach at Bighams.
The Talent Advisor will play a key role in maintaining compliance on site, while contributing to Bigham’s Learning strategy by delivering training and development for key roles while identifying opportunities for further development for our production teams while looking forward to implementing a digital approach to learning.
The roles primary focus is developing the teams in our London Kitchen, it will also contribute to the wider learning and development agenda in Bigham’s.
Role Responsibility
Training development
- To maintain and update the Academy portfolio of learning for key roles at Bigham’s with a view to maintain regulatory and training compliance, and develop our production teams to thrive
- To maintain the content and relevance of the content in line with the business needs, reviewing at regular intervals and making recommendations to change as appropriate
- To deliver specified classroom trainings in the Bigham’s way making appropriate use of resources and maintaining the culture
- Actively engage in team discussions / meetings and contribute to problem solving / continuous improvement action generation & implementation
- Assist in driving a culture of change, continuous improvement and innovation through a partnership approach, engaging, coaching and developing Bigham’s training and production teams
- Develop production/kitchen population in line with regulatory and company procedures
- Support the Trainer population by means of regular meetings, planned observations, planned support visits and follow up where appropriate
Academy administration, communications and reporting
- Administers the Bigham’s Training Matrix and course bookings, including apprentice cohorts.
- Communicates the academy offer to the business to maximise availability
- Identifies opportunities to improve functionality of the Training matrix and makes recommendations as part of the review cycle, incorporating needs into digital project requirements
- Maintains the training matrix identifying any gaps and taking appropriate action to address those gaps, with the relevant people where appropriate
- Reviews paperwork and record keeping standards in line with BRC and legislative requirements, maintaining document control standards communicating findings and any action steps to be taken by the Team Trainer population if appropriate
SOP portfolio consolidation and management
- Document and formalise SOPs for key equipment and tasks within the business and update as and when required, keeping a log in the SOP register and maintaining version control
Digital Learning adaptation
- Scope Digital needs at Bigham’s
- Identify a solution for implementation across the business, ensuring a blended approach ensuring access for all
The Ideal Candidate
The Ideal Candidate:
- Previous experience of designing and delivering training programs ideally within a food organisation (e.g. food production, food service, hospitality, FMCG or restaurant chain), ideally including Management Development experience
- Demonstrable experience of leading training needs analysis and creating training plans to address gaps identified
- Confident Communication, including excellent written, presentation and verbal skills
- Understanding of Training theory and measuring ROI
- Experience of working with a LMS or Digital learning platform (Ideally with implementation)
- Understanding of operational delivery and demonstrated positive cross functional working
