Our Cooking Teams play a vital role within the kitchen, ensuring every dish we make at Bigham’s is cooked to the highest standard.
You’ll be responsible for cooking fresh ingredients accurately and safely, so our Assembly Teams can bring together the award‑winning dishes our customers love.

4 days on / 4 days off
6am – 6pm
Role Responsibility
As a Cooking Team Member, you will be:
- Following recipe cards accurately
- Cooking fresh ingredients in an industrial kitchen environment
- Maintaining high hygiene standards and a clean, tidy workspace
- Completing food records and production logs
- Carrying out quality checks to ensure Bigham’s standards are met
- Completing effective and accurate shift handovers
- Flagging any issues with equipment within your area

You’ll also need:
- A good level of physical fitness, including the ability to regularly lift loads of up to 20kg

Experience of working in a food handling or production environment would be beneficial, but isn’t essential - we’ll provide full food safety and quality training for those without prior experience.

What you’ll receive

- A competitive hourly rate of £14.72, rising to £15.33 after 3 months
(equivalent to over £32,000 per year, rising to over £33,000, based on a 40‑hour week, excluding overtime) - Overtime paid at over £20 per hour, paid at 1.5x the hourly rate
